Citation EK 2 – 17. SS Panzergrenadier Division Gotz von Berlichingen 1945

Citation for the EK 2 to SS Sturmmann Kessler.

He was part of 1./SS Pionier Battalion 17 of the 17. Panzergrenadier Division Gotz von Berlichingen.

Awarded on 16 March 1945 for bravery shown on the battlefield.

The Division fought at the Westfront.
It had previously taken part in Operation Nordwind.

It seems that elements of the division where temporary attached to the  19. Volksgrenadier Division wich fought around the Westwall and saw heavy combat at Sarreguemines, France. (south of Saarbrücken)

Used condition, has been folded and has punchholes.
