Battle damaged Soldbuch 96. Infanterie Division

Soldbuch first issue to Obergefreiter Heinrich Weber.

The Soldbuch opens at 31-8-1939.

After his basictrainings he served as a truckdriver within the Leichte Infanterie Kolonne 284 and from 1941 onwards with the 96. Infanterie Division.

With this division he saw service in Russia: Luga, Newa, Leningrad, Wolchow.

Later he served within Grenadier Regiment 283 of the 96. Infanterie Division.

In November 1943 he enters a hospital after being wounded; Granatsplitter and Kopfschuss. (woundcode -31b-)

His wounding must have been severe as he stayed untill March 1945 in several hospitals.

He received an own pistol.

The Soldbuch was damaged by schrapnel.

No photo, never had one.

It comes with a driverslicense with photo (not wartime) and 2 small papers.
