Small grouping to Gefreiten Karl Koch.

Koch was a member of 12./Panzergrenadier Regiment 104 of the 15. Panzergrenadier Division.

The grouping consists of:

1. EK 2 citation, dated 17 June 1944.
Signed by Generalleutnant and divisional commander Eberhard Rodt.
Knightscross 25-6-1940, Oakleaves 28-5-1945.  Good condition but has been folded.

2. Remembrance card from the district leader to the mother of Karl Koch.

3. Small photo. Has been folded.

4. Paper package for the EK 2. Heavy used condition.

The 15. Panzergrenadier Division fought in Italy and was involved in the defensive battles in the Monte Cassino area from January untill May 1944 when the Division retreated nortwards to Rome.

Here during the fightings for Rome he was KIA on 3 June 1944 by shrapnel.

Nowdays he rests on the German war cemetary in Pomezia.
