He received on 11-10-1944 an G43 rifle most probarly by the 256. Volksgrenadier Division. The Division was fighting in the southern part of the Netherlands around Tilburg - Loon op Zand - Kaatsheuvel - Oosterhout - Raamsdonk.

Picture shows and knocked-out or demolished 10,5 cm ILH 18/43 near Kaatsheuvel and bears the tactical sign of the 256. Volksgrenadier Division.

In 1945 he became part of III./Artillerie Regiment 1316, Stabsbatterie, 16. Volksgrenadier Division.

This Division was also fighting on the Westfront

He was taken POW in 1945.

He received an Dutch Hembrug rifle and Bajonet.
