Soldbuch Flak Nettuno Fallschirmjager Pionier Battalion 4 Italy

Soldbuch first issue with photo to Obergefreiter Ratsch.

The Soldbuch opens at 15-1-1942 by Schwere Flak ersatz Abteilung 6.

From 1942 untill 1944 he was part of several Flak related training units and fieldunits.

Early 1944 he was part of Flak Regiment 12 wich was operating in Italy under the 3. Flak Brigade.

With this unit he fought at the Nettuno front where he got wounded by schrapnel and was brought into an fieldhospital on 21-4-1944 with Woundcode -31b- .

After he recovered he joined another Flak trainingsunit.

On 24 December he became part of Fallschirmjager Pionier Battalion 4 wich was part of the 4. Fallschirmjager Division wich was active in Italy.

At the end of January 1945 the Division fought in the area south of Bologna - Immola.

A few weeks later he got wounded for the 2nd time and was brought in  to Fallschirm Feldlazarett 4 on 23 February 1945.

He got wounded by schrapnel on the left side of his neck.
