Soldbuch Luftwaffe Festungs Battalion II – Wounded Overloon 1944

Soldbuch to Leutnant Fischer.

From 1940 untill September 1944 he served within several Luftwaffe training and Flak units before beiing transferred to 2./Luftwaffe Festungs Battalion II.

With this newly raised Luftwaffe field unit he was involved in battles in the southern part of the Netherlands and fought east of Weert and in the area between Overloon and Venraij were he got wounded around 14 or 15 Oktober 1944 by schrapnel. Woundcode -31b-

For some unknown reason the Wounded badge was not entered in the Soldbuch.
